Alternative Health

There are many different types of healing associated with alternative health that may help the symptoms of RSI, or repetitive strain injury. Depending on your symptoms, the type of alternative health remedy you choose should be consistent with the symptoms you are experiencing. The following are some types of alternative health that you may want to consider:

· Massage therapists can work out tight muscles and relieve tension. They are familiar with the different muscles in the body, but not every massage therapist is a good one. Make sure the therapist you go to has a good understanding of RSI’s and the muscles of the body. Medical massage therapists have more knowledge than a massage therapist you might find in a day spa.

· Acupuncture can be a useful alternative health remedy for RSI. Acupuncturists know how to find the trigger points that are upsetting your body.

· Taking vitamin B6 and vitamin E may help reduce pain.

· Exercise is an important alternative health aid. Exercise, whether you are suffering from an RSI or not, is always a good idea to keep your body healthy.

· Martial Arts centers on a mind/body connection, and for some reason a few involved with Martial Arts suffering from RSI have seen a good deal of improvement with their symptoms.

· Ayurveda is an alternative health practice from ancient India which centers on the use of herbs, nutrition, massage, and yoga. This combination of healing ingredients may help reduce the pain associated with RSI’s.

· Reflexology may have an impact on the symptoms of RSI’s. Your feet have triggers points connected to many parts of your body that can be massaged to help reduce symptoms in certain areas of the body.

· Alternative health wouldn’t be complete without the mention of Yoga. It can help reduce stress, and help you gain flexibility. The tight muscles associated to your RSI can be stretched while performing Yoga exercise.

· Hydrotherapy heat can help the pain of an RSI by applying moist heat to the affected area to warm up soft tissues, making them relaxed and pliable.

There are many alternative health ideas out there, so make sure you choose an appropriate remedy for the symptoms you are experiencing, and the type of healing you would like to achieve.
